Ansel Adams Photograph of Transmission Lines in Mojave Desert Leading from Boulder Dam, 1941

I chose this image because it has been drained of color. I found that interesting. I have not seen landscape without color in a picture before. It seems to fit with the telephone lines which did not have color originally. The sun peeking over the mountains gives a nice glow.

The vibrant colors of this picture drew me in. They stand out and have shadows. I like how the artist took the picture in the time of day where the sun was almost setting. This allowed for a neat shadow effect. The time of day also allowed for beautiful colors in the sky.

I like how the picture is in black and white. It gives off a feeling that it is old. I feel that is how machines should feel. I like how the edges of the picture are darker and brighten up as it gets closer to the middle and the top.
